Portland Artists Clinic History

Many years ago, doctors attending music festivals in the San Francisco area began informally offering their services to festival attendees. Over time, this effort grew and became known as Rock Med. As various people involved in this organization began to migrate to the Pacific Northwest, NW Rock Med offered medical services at outdoor festivals in Oregon and Washington. This organization drew many music-loving volunteers from the health care professions to participate in providing basic first aid services to attendees, and artists.

Several of these health care professionals have now banded together to create the Portland Artists Clinic (PAC), with an intent to expand on the services they were providing at festivals, extending them to the day-to-day lives of creative professionals.
We provide volunteer, community-based, integrative primary care and urgent health care services to Portland artists and creatives who are unable to attain health insurance or who lack access to primary care through their existing insurance.
